Ann Boger is a benefits innovation executive with twenty years of experience working across insurance carriers, product teams, and emerging ventures. Formerly with Freelancers Insurance Company, Trupo, and Coterie, she has built, launched, and scaled programs used by employers, small businesses, and the rapidly expanding independent workforce.

Ann is a leading expert on portability and flexible work. Her work bridges enterprise-grade benefits and agile experimentation. She specializes in product strategy, distribution, regulatory compliance and safety net policy for workers who operate outside traditional employment structures. Ann leads investor relations, portfolio strategy, product development, and partner alignment, ensuring that every solution we build yields a strong ROI and meets the needs of workers, payers, and the communities that support them.

Ann is a graduate from the University of Chicago with honors, a member of the Investing in Flourishing Design Team of the New York Federal Reserve Bank, and an active Board member. She splits her time between Brooklyn, NY and Midcoast Maine.

Kali Pearce is a strategist, public health leader, and partnerships architect working at the intersection of benefits innovation and social impact. With a background spanning population health, insurance innovation, and enterprise strategy, she has led partnerships and growth initiatives for digital health startups, community health organizations, and workforce-development ecosystems. She has worked for organizations such as Fidelity Investments, UnitedHealth Group, Advisory Board Research, Babylon Health, and Bloomberg Philanthropies.

Her work centers on designing and scaling safety-net solutions for the new economy — bridging payers, startups, and community institutions to serve independent workers and populations falling through traditional coverage gaps. Kali holds an MPH and MBA from Washington University in St. Louis, and brings deep experience in benefits design, care navigation, and impact strategy. At Velarium Labs, she leads strategic partnerships, ecosystem development, and cross-sector collaboration to bring inclusive benefits to market.

Emily Lobbato is a systems architect and operations strategist with deep experience building scalable, compliant, and efficient infrastructures for high-growth companies. Her background spans insurance, AI governance, and enterprise operations, where she has led cross-functional transformation efforts, developed responsible-AI and risk frameworks, and architected operating models that improve clarity, quality, and strategic alignment.

A huge fan of the ADKAR method of change management, Emily uses a human approach to systems design and innovation. At Velarium Labs, Emily leads due diligence and operational readiness assessment for portfolio companies. Ensuring every solution we build is operationally sound, future-ready, and grounded in the real needs of workers, startups, and enterprise partners.

Emily has a dual degree in business marketing and sustainable ecology. She lives and works in San Francisco.
